Hon Da Bac belongs to Kinh Hon village - Khanh Binh Tay commune - Tran Van Thoi district of Ca Mau province, located more than 50 km from the city center by waterway. This is a small soul cluster 52m above the water surface, large and small islands are close together to form a cluster of: Hon Ong Ngo, Hon Da Bac and Hon Troi, with a total area of 67 hectares.

Hon Da Bac is a cluster of large and small islands close together, with a total area of 7 hectares, including: Ong Ngo island, Da Bac island and Da Le island. The highest island with a height of 55m above sea level. According to many records, Hon Da Bac dates back to 182 million years ago.
Visiting this cluster of islands, visitors will see granite stones neatly stacked on top of each other creating extremely unique shapes; forests and vegetation are rich and diverse. There is also the Temple of President Ho Chi Minh and the Tomb of Ong Nam Hai. Ong mausoleums are displayed with huge fish skeletons about 14m long. According to recorded history, in one time, the fish Ong rescued a sunken boat with his body, so he used his body to lift the boat up and drifted into Kinh Chua in 1995. About 3 days later, the whale died, local people was allowed to be buried. In 1996, the skeleton was brought back to Da Bac rock for worship.
Hon Da Bac is a place that attracts a lot of tourists when they can experience squid fishing, shrimp fishing in the evening, etc. to prepare delicious dishes together. Especially here is always abundant fresh seafood.
Next to Da Bac Island is the Tomb of Ong built with an extremely rich architectural style, where the story of whales when saving people in distress is recorded. The mausoleum is a place to display giant whale skeletons. On the 23rd day of the fifth lunar month every year, local fishermen in Tran Van Thoi district will hold worship services and the "Nhung Ong" festival, which welcomes a large number of tourists from all over the world. This is the biggest festival of the year for fishermen at Da Bac island.
Hon Da Bac is also a place to keep very important historical imprints of the nation. In 1971, when troops and people in Khanh Binh Tay commune, together with the 105th artillery platoon and French group, were stationed at Da Bac island to defeat the enemy's invasion plot and completely liberate Da Bac.
